Asian art exhibitions from museums, galleries and universities can be found in
most of the big museums from East Asia, South Asia.
Asian art is the largest and most comprehensive exhibitions in the museums. Each of the many civilizations of Asia is represented by outstanding works that provide an unrivaled experience of the artistic traditions. The collection range in date from the second millennium B.C. to the early twentieth century and includes paintings, prints, calligraphy, and sculptures. Asian Arts is renowned for its Chinese calligraphy and paintings as well as for its Japanese folding screens. Sculptures from South and Southeast Asia and early paintings from Nepal are other areas of strength within the collection.
