Manila Travel
Public transportation in Manila is cheap but overcrowded. Practically every artery of the metropolis is serviced by some kind of public transport facilities such as buses, jeepneys, taxis, the Light Rail Transit, tricycles, bicycle-powered cabs, and horsedrawn carriages. Schedules are not rigorously adhered to and local knowledge is usually the best source of information for what goes where and when. Transports are generally identified by the last terminal in their routes. Bus and jeepney rates start at PI for the first four kilometers plus 25 centavos for every kilometer thereafter.
The LRT, the overhead railway system goes from Baclaran to Monumento along Taft Avenue and charges a flat rate of P3.50. There are also airconditioned buses known as Love Bus that charges a flat rate of P8.50.
